I Think, Therefore I Am Not Religious.

An Exploration of the "Fact" of God
This page is for you:
1) If you are someone who does not believe that there is a God who exists.
2) If you are questioning whether God exists.
3) If you're pretty sure there is a God but not sure what kind of God it is.
4) If you are a follower of Jesus and have a friend that is challenging your beliefs and you desire to have a mutually respectful, sincere, authentic, informed dialogue about the existence of a Supreme Being.

This page is not for you:
1) If you continually repeat, "I believe in God just because I believe" to people who question your belief and you are satisfied with responding that way.
2) If the fact of God's existence seems so obvious to you that you have little patience for anyone that doesn't "get it."
3) If the fact that there cannot be a God is so obvious to you that you have little patience for those who insist there is logic behind the belief in a Supreme Being.
4) If you are already convinced there is a personal God who loves you and you just need to know how to hook up with Him. In that case click on the tab, "The "Way" to God." You can come back here later after you've made your God connection.

The "Fact" God
Creation and our conscience reveal the fact of God.

Many people are frustrated, amazed or simply amused by those who seem to be completely comfortable and secure with belief in an all-powerful, all-good Supreme Being. And those who do rest securely in this belief are just as amazed at those who can't seem to see how obvious the exsistence of their big, beautiful God is.

Unfortunately, these differences of opinion keep each side of the debate from actual learning. Regardless of how you feel about the existence of God at the moment, this community of faith has no interest in belittling your position. Yes, we believe in one all-powerful, eternal, personal, loving and compassionate God. We believe that the historical person Jesus truly was this God who came to reveal Himself to people he created. And yes we believe that He will return in a very physical way that will be unmistakably apparent to the entire world.

Weird, huh?

But none of us started with these beliefs. Someone introduced these ideas to us. We explored them, questioned them and finally embraced them. Every now and then we doubt them and reexamine them and reembrace them. And we do all of this with the use of our God-given minds, the passions of our emotions and help from His Holy Spirit. Contrary to the popular misconception, we did not have to check our brains at the door of the Kingdom of God. It is this God Himself who commands (not suggests) that we love Him with all of our strength, all of our heart, all of our soul and ALL OF OUR MIND. He is the one who invites us to come and REASON with Him. So we really aren't afraid to delve deeply into the philosphy behind the existence of this strange, paradoxical, mysterious and wonderful God of the Universe. And we are willing to take all the time and effort necessary to have an authentic discourse of all of the competing views of for the three really big questions that all of religion and philosophy attempt to answer. The big three are questions
